In IOLTA We Trust
As an attorney, managing client trust accounts is a critical responsibility. At NextDoor Bookkeeping, we help law firms maintain accurate, properly segregated trust accounting in accordance with The Florida Bar’s requirements.
Our trust accounting services include three-way reconciliation of the trust bank account, client ledger balances, and trust liability records, helping identify discrepancies and maintain accurate, reliable financial records.
We work closely with your firm to keep client funds properly separated from operating funds, identify potential issues, and provide the information you need to maintain an organized and compliant trust accounting system.
Advanced Client Costs
Advanced client costs require careful tracking to ensure expenses paid on behalf of clients are accurately recorded and properly accounted for when reimbursed through settlements, awards, or client payments.
NextDoor Bookkeeping specializes in helping law firms track, reconcile, and properly classify advanced client costs. We review the flow of these transactions between your practice-management system, trust accounts, and QuickBooks Online to help identify discrepancies and maintain accurate, organized financial records.
Customized Workflow
Every law firm has its own systems, processes, and priorities. We begin with a thorough review of your financial data and current workflow to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. From there, we develop a customized bookkeeping and billing workflow designed around the way your practice operates.
We work with QuickBooks Online®, Clio™, TrustBooks, LawPay, Hubdoc, and other cloud-based applications to connect your financial and practice-management processes. These integrated tools help streamline document management, receipt capture, invoicing, billing, and communication while keeping your records organized and accessible.
Our goal is to create a streamlined digital workflow that reduces manual work, improves accuracy, and gives you a clearer view of your firm’s financial information. With secure cloud-based systems and virtual support, your bookkeeping can be managed efficiently from wherever you work.
